Professor in International Law

Mr. Gaga Gabrichidze holds a law degree from the Tbilisi State University, Georgia (1996); Earned a Ph.D. from the Tbilisi State University (2005) and holds also a Master in European Law from the Europa-Institut of the Saarland University, Germany (2000); Has been teaching courses in the EU law and public international law since 1999; Held the Jean Monnet Chair in European Law at the Tbilisi State University from 2008 to 2011;Was awarded with more than 10 international fellowships, including fellowships from the Humboldt Foundation, the European Commission and the Government of Austria; has been a visiting researcher at the Saarland University, Germany (2002, 2003, 2009, 2010), the University of Frankfurt, Germany (2007, 2008) and the University of Vienna, Austria (2001); Much of his research focuses on issues of constitutional nature in the field of the EU law, as well as law approximation and migration law; Is the author of a textbook on the EU law and of more than 20 scientific publications; Is a member of the editorial board of “Georgian Law Review”.

Mr. David Kereselidze holds a law degree from Tbilisi State University (Georgia), as well as LL.M and doctoris iuris degrees from the University of Saarland (Germany); Held the office of theDirector of National Centre for Educational Quality Enhancement (NCEQE, 2010-2011), Director of National Centre for Educational Accreditation (NCEA, 2009-2010), Dean of the Tbilisi State University Law School (2005-2008), Deputy Director of Georgian-European Policy and Legal Advice Centre (GEPLAC, 2002-2005); Is a Professor of Private Law at the Tbilisi State University since 2001 and Chief-editor of Georgian Law Review since 2002. „For his input in the reform of Georgian higher education and development of the science of law“ was awarded with doctor honoris causa by the University of Georgia in 2010.

Kakhi Kurashvili

 

Professor in Public Law

Mr. Kakhi Kurashvili was awarded lawyer’s qualification by the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (Georgia), also the degree of a Candidate of Legal Sciences (Ph.D. in Law) – by the Board of Scientific Experts of the Academy of Sciences of Georgia, based on the Decision of the Dissertation Board of the Faculty of Law of the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. Currently holds the office of the Head of Legal Department of the LEPL – Georgian National Communications Commission. Purses research and teaching activities at various higher education institutions. Was the Deputy Head of the Council for the Accreditation of Higher Education Institutions in 20090-2010 and the Head of the State Territorial Arrangement and Local Self-governance Working Group. Held the office of the Head of the Educational Institution Authorization Board in 2010-2013.

Natia Tskepladze
 
Associate Professor in Public Law

During 2005-2015 Ms. Natia Tskepladze was a judge of the Administrative Chamber of the Supreme Court of Georgia. Held the office of the Chairperson of the Disciplinary Chamber of the Supreme Court of Georgia in 2005-2006. During 1999-2005 she was a judge of the Tbilisi Appellate Court and chairperson of the Appellate Court Chamber of administrative and tax law. Worked for the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) as an expert and for Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University as a lecturer at various times. Conducted hundreds of trainings in administrative law for judges, prosecutors, civil servants, assistants to the judges, lawyers at bar, journalists, etc. Is the coauthor of the Commentaries to the Code of Administrative Procedure and the textbook in administrative law.
