DESCNet Network

 

New Vision University is a member of project - Network for Developing the European Studies in Caucasus (DESCNet). Descnet has nine members from different countries:

 

 

The Network for Developing the European Studies in Caucasus is designed to enhance the level of European Studies in the Caucasus. At its heart the goal is to create a scholarly association “Association of European Studies for the Caucasus” (AESC). In a long run, AESC will be a leading EU thematic association that not only run by local academic circles but also flexibly accommodates to the region’s developments depending on the activities of its members. AESC commits itself to synergize the efforts of its partner institutions and create a benchmark for excellence. Activities of the network are divided into three main areas: teaching, research enhancement and outreach.

Network Europe

 

New Vision University is a participating partner of Network Europe. Network Europe is a platform for cooperation between academic institutions from West, East and Central European countries which are engaged in the research on different issues of the European integration process. The network comprises institutions from founding member states of the European Union, from new member states and from countries with and without an accession perspective to the EU. The network provides a forum for discussions of various legal and political issues of the European integration process.

 

In July 2014, the 6th Network Europe Conference was organized in Tbilisi, which was hosted by New Vision University.

 

On July 15-17, the 7th International Conference of on "Perspectives of security in Europe – Current challenges, EU strategies, international cooperation" took place in Yerevan, Armenia, where Professor Gaga Gabrichidze, Dean of New Vision University School of Law presented his speech on "Association Agreement as a tool of the EU security policy".

 

 

Oncology Winter School

 

New Vision University participates in Oncology Winter School which will be carried out by Ilia State University in winter 2016. This project is funded by Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation under the seasonal school 2015 call for proposals.

 

The goal of the Oncology Winter School is to interest undergraduate students of medical schools and young scientists with MS equivalent degree as well as to recruit new candidates for bio-medical research filed. The course is focused on students professional development, study on research methodologies and development of transferable skills relevant to the international standards. Winter school provides the students involvement in research projects of the hosting facility.

 

Academic Training Program of Oncology Winter School provides the optimal combination of training and relaxation mode. The program will be implemented in three modules during three weeks, totally 90 hours.

 

 

Program for Breast Cancer Prevention

 

AVON’s mammography cabinet in New Vision University Hospital implements Breast Cancer Prevention Screening Program for free since 2014. This project aim is to inform society about necessity of breast cancer prevention as well. On October 31 in 2015 Avon Georgia cooperation with the partners New Vision University Hospital and Business vs. Cancer Foundaton, arranged Pink Marching for Raising Awareness on Breast Cancer Prevention.
