Doctor of Sciences (2004); an Associate Professor at the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the Tbilisi State Medical University (since 2009); Is the head of the Laboratory at the Institute of Medical Biotechnology since 2011, also the Head of the Academic Council (since 2009); Graduated from the Tbilisi State University, the Faculty of Biology, majoring in Immunology (Summa cum laude diploma, 1995); In 1999 was awarded a PhD degree at the Tbilisi State Medical University; Got UNESCO-Israel fellowship and was a post-doctoral fellow at the Sackler School of Medicine, Tel Aviv University, Israel (2001-2004); In April-June 2008 stayed at Harvard Medical School, USA as a visiting scholar; Held various scientific positions since 1998 - researcher, senior scientist, chief scientist at the Institute of Medical Biotechnology; Headed the Experimental and Clinical Medicine Research Center, Georgian State Medical Academy in 2005-2006; has her works published in peer-reviewed impact factor journals; has presented her scientific works at International Workshops; attended various international conference and trainings; Is a principal investigator/manager of national and international research projects (Scopes - Swiss National research foundation; STCU – Science and Technology Center of Ukrain, CRDF – Civilian and Research Development Foundation); was a Soros student (1995), a Beritashvili fellow (2008) and a fellow of Presidents’ I, II, III degree scholarships (1999-2010); received many awards from various international organizations (European Commission grant, INTAS, EAACI);Currently is the Vice President of Georgian Association of Allergology and Immunology, founder and project manager of Young Scientists Development Center and a member of the European Academy of Allergology and Clinical Immunology.
Graduated from the Tbilisi State Medical University in 1994, Faculty of General Medicine, MD diploma, In 1994-1996 took internship course in Internal Medicine at the Tbilisi State Medical University; Trainings: LKH - University Clinic of Graz, Austria - Department of General Radiological Diagnostics, Advanced MRI from head to toe, Open Medical Institute’s Salzburg Medical Seminars International; in 2001 was awarded PhD degree in Medicine at the Tbilisi State Medical University; Since 2009 is a member of the European Society of Radiology; Since 2009 works for the Centre of Chemotherapy and Immunology “Medulla” as a Radiologist; “Mediclub Georgia” as a Radiologist; “Aversi Clinic” as a Radiologist.
Holds a MD degree from the Tbilisi State Medical University; Was certified in Internal Medicine in 2006; Immediately upon graduating started teaching at the TSMU Chair of Internal Medicine and also commenced her medical practice as a Hospital Internist at the University Hospital. In 2008-2009 was trained in Nephrology and Transplantation at Guy’s and St. Thomas Hospital, London, UK; continues with a Postgraduate Course in Nephrology in Beilinson Hospital, Tel Aviv, Israel; Became a member of the European Renal Association – European Dialysis and Transplant Association (ERA-EDTA) in 2009, since then has been participating in the ERA-EDTA CME courses in Europe; At present, is an Internal Medicine Doctor at Junona Medical Center doing her PhD at the same time; Her research interests are focused on hypertension and renal physiology.
Graduated from the Tbilisi State Medical University in 1998; In 2001-2004 studied at the Tbilisi State Medical University as a resident in cardiology; Has been an invited teacher at the Tbilisi State Medical University, the Department of Internal Medicine N1 since 2004; since 2010 is a doctoral student at the Tbilisi State Medical University; Is a member of the Internal Medicine Residency Program development team; Works for Junona medical centre as a cardiologist and also is the quality control team leader.
