New Vision University in Wings For Life World Run

New Vision University participated in Wings For Life World Run that took place on May 3d, 2015 in Kakheti.

Ms. Sophie Tkemaladze, Professor at NVU has covered the longest distance among NVU female participants, along with Mr. Davit Atabegashvili, PhD Student from the Law School and Sandro Gordeziani (GE) and Hemant Jain (India) from the School of Medicine.

Introduced in 2014, the Wings for Life World Run is a global running event where athletes in 35 locations around the world start at precisely the same time. The race is unique since it has no finish line. Instead, the runners are followed by a Catcher Car, which takes off 30 minutes after the start and steadily increases its speed until the last athletes have been caught.

Wings for Life is a non-profit organisation that funds research into finding a cure for spinal cord injury. A hundred percent of the Wings for Life World Run proceeds have been donated to the foundation.
