The Cycle of Summer Lectures on Current Issues in Taxation
New Vision University invites interested individuals to the cycle of summer lectures on current and problematic issues in Taxation.
Following issues will be discussed during the lectures:

Free delivery;

Crediting of VAT amounts according to fixed assets;

Taxation of barter transaction;
-
Corporate transactions;
-
Repair expenses;
-
Taxation of the buildings and structures of own production with VAT;
-
Tax consequences of the difference between the rates;
-
Income received from the realization of assets;
-
Long-term contracts;
-
Property taxable object.

It should be mentioned that a Tax Code of Georgia includes some rules regarding the abovementioned issues. Despite this, there exist controversies regarding practical application of these regulations. Consequently, taxpayers face the tax related problems very often. The aim of the course is to discuss these problematic issues and to review existing practice. Accordingly, in the framework of the lectures, there will be discussed practice of the Revenue Service of Georgia and some definitions issued by this institution.
Lectures will be conducted by:
Ruslan Akhalaia, Chief Lawyer at Dechert LLP, invited lecturer at New Vision University.
Lasha Tutberidze, Head of tax control division at the audit department of Revenue Service.
Gela Barshov, Chief auditor at the “transfer pricing” division of the audit department.
Registration: Registration should be done through online application no later than June 29, 2016. At least 10 participants are required for formation a group.
Place and Date: The lectures will start from July 1st, 2016, includes 6 meetings and will be over no later than July 15, 2016. Three meetings will take place during a week: weekdays in the evening (no earlier than 19.00 o’clock), on Saturday - during the daytime.
