III International Symposium of Neiroscience

On 2-4 October, in Tbilisi, I. Beritashvili Center of Experimental Biomedicine (14 Gotua Str., Tbilisi, Georgia) the III International Symposium "Neuroplasticity: Nervous Substrate for Health and Disease. New Approaches for Research" will be held. The symposium is sponsored by Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation. The key reason of organizing this Symposium is to bring together (totally - 55 participants) neuroscientists / nanobiologists from Georgia, Europe and USA for to present and to discuss original and most interesting data both, in basic and applied neuroscience/nanobioscience.

ORGANIZING INSTITUTIONS

  • Beritashvili Center of Experimental Biomedicine;

  • New Vision University;

  • Ilia State University.

Organizing Committee is especially interested for the following topics:

  • Atomic Force Microscopy of living cells. Other nanobiological approaches of cell plasticity research;

  • Research on structural plasticity (electron microscopy, confocal microscopy, two-photon microscopy, other modern approaches);

  • The damaged or disabled brain. Can neuroplasticity help?

  • Chemistry of DNA and expression of genes: influence of experience;

  • Cognitive and emotion function and life experience;

  • Cell physiology.

In the framework of Symposium, the following special events will take place:

  • Plenary lectures, oral presentations and poster presentations;

  • The debates "The Future of Neuroplasticity Research: Nanobiology and Nanomedicine";

  • The competition of young scientists (under 35). The author of the best poster presentation will be awarded by American Research Society Sigma Xi Georgian Chapter.

  • The working languages are English and Georgian. All presentations will be in English.

The call for abstracts is now open.

The deadline for abstract submission, both for oral and poster presentations, is Friday, September 12, 2014.

Abstracts are subject to review.

The presenters are also invited to submit a full-text manuscript of presentation for publication in Journal of Biological Physics and Chemistry: http://www.amsi.ge/jbpc/
