Public Lecture on European Security and Defense Policy by Professor Torsten Stein

 

On October 5, Professor Dr.Torsten Stein, University of Saarland (Germany) delivered a Public Lecture for the students of New Vision University and other young professionals interested in European Security and Defense Policy.

 

Prof. Dr. Torsten Stein was director of the Europa-Institut from 1991 to 2012, holder of the chair for European law and European public law at Saarland University and is still active at the Europa-Institut. Professor Stein has been a researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Foreign Public and International Law in Heidelberg. He was appointed professor at the University of Heidelberg in 1986. Professor Stein was managing director and commentator for the International Committee of the International Law Association (ILA), he is chairman of the German branch of the International Law Association (ILA) as well as honorary treasurer and member of the Executive Council of the ILA. He is a member of numerous national, foreign and international legal societies.

 

Around thirty participants attended the lecture, which was moderated by Prof. Gaga Gabrichidze, Dean of the New Vision University Law School.
